Our focus is designing simple yet powerful software solutions for our customers' media workflow challenges - today and in the future. Our products evolve with the ever-changing media landscape, always ready do adapt and grow with our customers.
Founded in 2009 by former Rhozet Corporation employees, Capella's aim was to design software products to span a long arc over the media industry's constant evolution.
Since our inception, the media industry has seen rapid and deep changes, with the rise of streaming and on-demand video, new resolutions like UHD, and new, efficient codecs like H.264 and H.265. Smartphones, tablets and laptops have replaced or supplemented home TV viewing.
With our team's video compression technology expertise, we knew we could create the cutting-edge transcoder and live encoding technology that our customers need for success today - and we will continue to evolve to keep pace with the rapid advances in video technology.
At Capella, our goal is to be your long term technology partner. We will always listen to our customers and partners. We use that crucial communication to improve and enhance our products: that's a promise! Together, we will always deliver.
We understand that there is no shortcut to building the most reliable and stable transcoding and live encoding technology. We take pride in making the highest quality products, with an absolute focus on making your media workflows smooth, efficient and dependable.
We've been innovating since 2009, when we founded Capella. Our products are the result of our ideas, inspirations and willingness to try new things. We're always on the cutting edge of new and groundbreaking technology, and we will never stop innovating.
It's impossible to predict the future precisely, especially in this era where the rate of change is off the scale. All our products are designed for a long life, with adaptability at their core. We evolve with the changes in market demands, and are extremely adaptable to meet our customers' changing needs.

She founded Capella Systems in 2009 to develop next-generation software products that advance the latest video technologies.
Martin has led Capella’s engineering department since its inception, helping to design and develop its current array of products. Previously, he spent a decade working on video compression technologies at Canopus, Rhozet and Harmonic, Inc. Historically, Martin has always worked closely with Support and Sales, and he uses that experience to design software that's powerful and flexible but also easy to use, troubleshoot and expand.
Prior to joining Capella Systems in its early years, David worked as a sales engineer for Rhozet Corporation (acquired by Harmonic, Inc.) and led its technical support team.
